ACTOR, WRITER, COMEDIAN
Tarek is the first in his family to have attended college, receiving his degree in Performance from Yale University on full scholarship, with Honors, and as a finalist for the Louis Sudler Prize in The Performing and Creative Arts. He's appeared in a variety of shows, including Angels in America at Yale as Belize, the Subveritas premiere at Crowded Fire Theater, Holiday Craptacular at Colt Coeur Theater, and his original solo piece Laughing at Crying Babies. He’s trained under world renowned professors from The Yale School of Drama including James Bundy and Chris Bayes, and is currently training at The Barrow Group.
Yale is also where Tarek discovered his love for comedy through his viral YouTube video, which landed him on RightThisMinute, Yahoo News, NBC Nightly, HelloGiggles, The Doctors, and more. Tarek would go on to produce many more digital sketches, including commissions for the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance. Beyond sketch comedy, he's further honed his comedic skills as the director of The Exit Players, Yale's oldest and nationally touring improv group, and as a stand-up comedian in NYC.
Tarek is a NY/LA local hire working in Film, TV, and Theater, auditioning through manager Tam Sackman at Gasparro Management and agent Amy Posey at Eris Talent. He's currently developing a new play with Deb Margolin in residency at The Flynn Theater in Burlington, VT, slated for Fall 2023.
